We are serious about your health, our community, and the well-being of our planet:

Our produce is from local farms who use sustainable farming practices. Our meat is only from local farms who treat their animals humanely and use sustainable farming practices. Our breads are from local bakeries of the highest quality. If local products are not available, such as coffee (not grown in the Continental U.S.), we support Fair Trade principles. We purchase organic products whenever possible. We keep our prices fair and reasonable, so that as many people as possible can enjoy healthful, tasty food. 10% of the cafe’s rent also goes to support Philadelphia Parks & Rec.

What We Do

The Cafe is located in Lloyd Hall on Historic Boathouse Row in Fairmount Park, serves as a community recreation center and a public boathouse for Philadelphia.

We strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. One way we do that is by hiring people with special needs and teaching them important life skills.

Visit our Ciderhouse on the patio with Frecon's Cider, local beer, wine, and spirits. Enjoy live music, healthy earth conscious eats and a beautiful view of the river.
